Hello World, I’m Tanya!
It all started in art school. From photographer to interior designer, here’s my story-
I had my heart set on becoming a photographer in high school, attending multiple photography classes both digital and film. That’s where I learned photoshop, how to process film, and framing/composition skills. I loved it but I have a tendency to branch out my hobbies and interests and I didn’t want to be wedged into doing one particular thing. My best friend offered to take me with her for an open house at The Art Institute International MN and I fell in love with the idea of going to art school! I signed up for the four year Interior Design program, knowing I could incorporate not only photography, but many forms of art into my career.
I discovered my love for architecture, history, sketching, rendering, and design during my time in school. Not only did I love it- I was good at it! I tutored for two years, assisted multiple rendering and photoshop workshops, was a frequent visitor critique for final student presentations, and won a “Best in Show” award at my graduation portfolio show.
Now, a decade later, I have a successful residential interior design business of my own!
